An intimate retreat for 20s and 30s who long to know more of Jesus and see Him made known.
This summer, we’re gathering because we believe that life is found in Jesus. We want to look up from the things of the world and see Jesus as our only way, our only truth, our only life. We want to be reminded of all we have in Him; to be renewed in the truth of His Word; and released to go and help more people meet Him for themselves. Gather with us, see Jesus, go and share Him with the world.
9-12th August 2024 | Warwickshire
Camping | All meals included with On-Site Catered tickets
4 days, 3 nights:
Together for more of Jesus
Five main sessions of worship, prayer, and teaching from God’s Word will show us more of Jesus and prepare us to go and make Him known.
Daily seminars will help us to hold a practical, Jesus-centred vision for evangelism, mental wellbeing, standing with persecuted Christians around the world, and cultural apologetics.
We’ll share food, enjoy rest in a beautiful place, play sport, and spend evenings together around the campfire. There’s even a morning run for our very bravest Weekenders…
Our hope is that we’ll leave captivated by Jesus, equipped to go and share Him with those around us, and excited to see more people find their life in Him.
Our main sessions will be led by the wonderful Andy Cottingham, pastor of City Church Bristol. He’ll bring us into God’s Word each day, help us to see more of Jesus together, and equip us to go and make Him known.
9-12th August 2024
A 65 acre oasis of trees, fields and water.
Nestled in the heart of rural Warwickshire is a 65 acre oasis of trees, fields and water: a beautiful countryside estate dedicated to God as a place of rest, retreat, renewal and teaching. And, from the 9-12th August, it’ll be home to the Something More Weekend.
We’ll camp in the fields at the centre of the estate next to the newly-built shower block, a short walk from the prayer cabin on the lake. We’ll gather under the stretch tent for sessions of teaching and worship, and between sessions there’ll be time for space and rest, sports, food, walks, and evenings together around the campfire.

The Weekend is built around six sessions of worship, prayer, and teaching from God’s Word: exploring this year’s theme, Holiness, and helping us to see more of Jesus, together. As well as the main sessions there are special seminars, opportunities for prayer, space and time for rest, sports, food, walks and evenings together around the campfire. There’s even a morning run for our very bravest Weekenders! You'll also get to enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside estate, hang out and meet new people, and take time to be with, and rest in, Jesus.
-
The Weekend has been specially designed as an intimate retreat for people from our community who love Jesus and long to see more people find life in Him. We've purposefully limited tickets to 100 to help encourage connection, rest and togetherness as we gather to grow in Jesus and get equipped to go and tell the world about Him. There'll be Christians from churches across the country, and we'll be joined by our main speaker Andy Cottingham from City Church Bristol, along with our friends from Open Doors, Kintsugi Hope, St Aldates and OCCA.

Check-in is from 5pm on Friday 9th August, food is from 6pm, and our first session will begin at 8pm. Please try and arrive within this window if you can: it really helps our caterers, and it means we can kick off our programme on time! We’ll close at 12pm on Monday 12th August after our final session.
-
Yes! All meals from Friday evening to Monday morning are included with On-Site Catered tickets, but make sure you bring snacks as there isn’t a shop nearby! It won’t be possible for anyone with an Off-Site Uncatered ticket to get food on-site, as our caterers will only have enough food for those with On-Site Catered tickets, and there is nowhere else on-site to purchase food!
-
You can! If you’d love to come and join us for all of the sessions, content and activities during the Weekend, but camping just isn’t for you, you’re more than welcome to find your own accommodation off-site and travel in each day. If you do choose an Off-Site Uncatered ticket, please remember that catering is not included, and there is nowhere else on-site to purchase food, so you’ll have to make arrangements off-site for that too! Check the FAQ above for more details.

A Bible and notebook
Tent, torch and camping kit
Camping chair or picnic blanket (only if you aren’t happy on a hay bale!)
Towel • Toiletries
Cutlery • Bowl • Plate • Mug
Snacks
…and don’t forget: we have no idea what the weather will do, so please do bring warm, waterproof clothes. All of your main meals are included with your ticket, but it’s a good idea to bring snacks to keep you going between mealtimes. Coffee and tea will be available throughout the weekend, so please bring a keep cup to help us reduce our impact on the environment. We’ll be spending plenty of time outside sitting and eating together (hopefully in the sunshine!), so bring a blanket or camping chair to keep comfy. And finally, if you’re a baker, feel free to bake something and share the love!

Access to hot showers, toilets, washing up stations, water points and refrigeration facilities means you’ll have everything you need to camp happy! There are a few electric hook ups in the camping field for those bringing campervans—but for charging phones and other devices, we recommend bringing a portable battery pack with you.
-
As we work to establish the event over the coming years, our hope is to open it up to families and young people, but to help us with insuring the event and ensuring that we’re able to accommodate everyone well, this year the Weekend will be for adults only (18+).
-
We ask that you respect the commitment you agreed to on your booking form: to engage fully in the spirit of the Weekend and behave in a way that is respectful and honouring to everyone else involved. We will operate quiet hours between 23:30 and 6:30. We also ask that guests stay in single-sex tent compartments (excluding married couples).

There will be qualified First Aiders on site who will provide immediate medical attention in case of an emergency. In the unlikely event that further medical attention is needed, the nearest hospital (Warwick Hospital) is just 5 miles away. Please do make us aware of any health conditions or medications ahead of the Weekend.
-
We want our time together to be as welcoming, safe and accessible as possible for all of our guests — including those who may have a difficult relationship with alcohol — so we have decided to make the Weekend an alcohol-free event.
-
Of course! Plenty of Weekenders come on their own, and there will be loads of opportunities to meet new people and chat, play sports, eat, worship and pray together over the Weekend, and, if you know and follow Jesus, we’re already family in Him!
-
You’ll be welcomed at the front gate by our stewards, and then directed down the lane to the parking and Info Point in the main field. We’ll get you checked in, give you your wristband and Weekend Programme, and show you where to set up camp.
-
Pray! Pray with us that God would use our time together for our good and His glory: that He would meet with us, that we would see Jesus more clearly, and that we would be filled with His Spirit to go out and make Him known.

Everything in this world wants us to look down: to look to people, places and products to fulfil us, and to look to ourselves to gain as many of these things as we can. But looking to these things only makes us lose sight of Jesus, the One who is the full, forever life that we long for. In our first session, we’ll grapple with what it means to learn to look up from the things of this world, look to Jesus again, and really live.
-
We can’t claim to love Jesus and yet still cling to the world. We can’t carry our cross for Him if we’re still clasping the scraps of our old lives. If we don’t die with Him, we will never live for Him. In our third session, we’ll come together to give everything to the One who has given everything for us.
-
By looking to Jesus, we come to know Him more and more. In Him, we see love without limit, goodness without end and glory beyond all measure, and we find ourselves satisfied so perfectly by Him that we only ever want more of Him. In our second session, we’ll look at how we can know and enjoy Jesus in a deeper, fuller way.
-
The world is longing for something more. Our family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, team-mates—everyone is looking for purpose, identity and meaning that’s found only in Jesus. Knowing Him changes lives; people telling others about Him will change the world. In our final session, we’re going to get ready to tell them.
