Putting people first.
We put people first — celebrating and honouring makers from around the world — by working exclusively with suppliers who share this commitment. Everyone we work with can ensure safe, dignified and properly paid employment through third-party verification, which defines high environmental requirements and demands compliance with extensive social criteria.
Responsible production.
We’re serious about finding the best way to do things. That’s why we've long been committed to working with the best people, who use the best materials, to make the best products. Every item we produce is ethical, sustainable, traceable, purposeful – sourced responsibly and packaged plastic-free.
Many of our collections exclusively use organic cotton, which requires 90% less water to produce than conventional cotton. It’s also free from harmful pesticides, and is all-around a much better fabric. Fewer resources, lower impact, higher quality — and, ultimately, better for you and for the planet.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the worldwide leading standard for the manufacture of organically produced natural fibres. It defines high environmental requirements and demands compliance with extensive social criteria. A product can only be certified when the entire production chain, from cultivation to the finished product, is certified. GOTS is the gold standard for sustainable, organic textiles.
The Fair Wear Foundation’s Code of Labour Practices is made up from eight labour standards derived from ILO Conventions and the UN’s Declaration on Human Rights. FWF auditing conducts checks at three levels: at the brand level to ensure that decisions are helping to support better labour conditions; at the factories to inspect working conditions; and by hearing directly from the garment workers.
Transparency.
We believe in everything we make, and we want it to be accessible to as many people as possible. We keep our margins tight so that we’re able to sell the very best quality, ethical, sustainable, traceable, purposeful clothing at a much lower cost than you might find elsewhere.
Any profit that we do make from our clothing goes right back into making more things we believe in — things to help you to know Jesus and tell others about Him — like our Podcasts, Weekend, Journal, and Publications.
Our staff, offices and other overheads are covered by the revenue from our commercial creative agency, Something More Creative®. You can find out more about our agency at somethingmorecreative.com
